Join us for a hands-on, immersive two-day workshop where photography meets painting in a journey of layered creativity.
Description
Join us for a hands-on, immersive two-day workshop where photography meets painting in a journey of layered creativity.
Day One: Cyanotype Magic
Begin with the beautiful blue world of cyanotype printing. Using light-sensitive chemistry and natural or found objects, you'll create your own striking cyanotype prints. We’ll guide you through the entire process—from composition and exposure to development—resulting in unique, ethereal images developed in sunlight.
Day Two: Encaustic Exploration
Take your cyanotype to the next level by integrating it into an encaustic artwork. Through the use of hot wax, pigments, and mixed media techniques, you'll learn how to build up texture, depth, and luminosity. Your cyanotype becomes the foundation for a richly layered piece that blends the photographic with the painterly.
Whether you're new to these techniques or looking to expand your creative toolkit, this workshop offers an inspiring and experimental environment to explore both process and play.
All materials provided. No prior experience necessary—just bring your curiosity!
